I don't know why you're asking this in the Satellite forum, but I have 2 of those units and they work perfectly for saorview.

hi, do you ever get audio sync problems on them?

I have a one that looks very similar and when i use the scart connection the sound and picture is well out of sync, its not as bad with the hdmi output but some days its worse than others.

    thanks.

maybe the mods should move this to the Terrestrial section.

I haven't had any problems with either of the 1s I have, 1 is connected to my TV in the bedroom and is only used a couple of times a week (at most), the other 1 is up at my in-laws and they would be telling me immediately that they are having problems.

I'm connected via HDMI and they are connected via Scart by the way

It'd take a lot of effort for me to get to the units, sorry, but that looks the exact units I have, I got them from a guy on adverts.

I was watching RTE in bed last night and got the model number, didn't have to take the TV off the wall or anything :)

It's a MSD-7828, I've an old firmware on it, it's dated May 2011, but it's working fine so I'm not pushed. I was watching RTÉ One on analogue and was going to change over during the ads to HDMI (TV has a slight delay changing resolution and didn't want to miss anything) but turned on the box, it did degrade the picture quality substantially when it was turned on.
