yesterday while out with setter she found a clutch of poults that were no more than five weeks old. today she found a clutch that were no more than two weeks old. she didn't flush them as i caught up with her before she went in. i wonder how many more young clutches are out there this late in the game. suffice to say i won't be working her in those areas until the season kicks off.

Very common due to the summer weather we just had. I have all my birds moved into holding pens at this stage they are 9 weeks old. I was out doing the rounds this morning and there was a clutch about 3 weeks old running up the hedge in front of me. Havent seen many wild ones this year at all. Going to be a terrible year for birds in some areas I'd say.
