Recommend me a printer?

    I have bought quite a few printers in my time.
    In the past they have lasted for quite some time and ink replacement was easy and cheap.
    Now it seems that you can buy a printer with all the bells and whistles for a great price, but the ink is usually too expensive or the printer won't recognise the replacement cartridgers and I end up binning it.
    Last one was a HP photosmart.

    Can anyone recommend a printer to meet the following requirements:
    - I don't need to print photos
    - I don't really need a scanner
    - I just want to print with the damn thing
    - reliable
    - cheapish
    - cheap ink replacement

    If you don't want to print photos, can you do w/o colour?

    If so, get a cheap monochrome laser printer.
