i have read through some of the forums and rang a few of the insurance companys ( most of them closed today though ) i am 23 and i am trying to get classic insurance on an 89 bmw. i already have a policy on my everyday car i have 6 years no claims bonus and have no penalty points and have held a full licence for 5 years i would only be driving the car now and again on weekends and that so would only be doing limited miles. i am just wondering does anybody know an insurance company that would give me classic insurance or has anyone had a similar experience and if so what did they do? it seems a bit ridiculous to be written off just because of my age even though i have a perfect driving record. insurance company discrimination does my head in ( rant over) any help would be great. only other option i can think is put the car in somebody elses name and then my insurance company will cover me to drive it aslong as it is taxed and nct'd. i would rather not do this though as the car would not be covered if it was stolen or damaged when it was parked somewhere.. thanks in advance for any help...
