Thug attacks BE 109 bus

This came through to me on Google Alerts today (not normally a Sun reader!)

A Bus Eireann double-decker travelling at speed on the N3 and full of passengers was attacked by someone with a pellet gun, smashing a window.

There have been other incidents of BE and DB buses being stoned or shot while moving and with pax on board.

These things will be allowed to continue until someone is badly injured, and then everyone will ask "how could this happen?"

Without taking away from the seriousness of the incident, it was nice that the passengers gave him a round of applause.
I would also like to have heard that the gardai were called and are investigating...

The bus was actually the 19.30hrs. Dublin to Cavan (and not a Kells bus as the report incorrectly says) which had broken down at Cabra and was subsequently replaced.
