    Hi guys,

Normally get my fuel from the EMO in Mount Brown because they are on my commute and they have one of the best prices in Dublin.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that they had a sign up saying they had no diesel. A week later there were cones blocking the entrance and now they have no petrol or diesel and it says the pumps are broken.

Does anybody know when the might be open again?

I don't claim to know anything about repairing fuel pumps or how long it takes but I find it hard to believe that they would be closed for 2 weeks and losing all that money because the pumps are broken.

They closed the bank Holiday weekend.
Diesel was gone on the Friday and Petrol on the Saturday.
Last I heard they were to re-open in two weeks.
I've also not seen one engineer in therte fixing anything.
Based on the above I would have assumed credit issues, but they did work around the place recently (i.e. spedning money) and the lights are still left on at night.

Seen this too, it would take some serious bad luck for all of the pumps to break down at the same time.

Don't think so. EMO diesel is fine, we've an EMO oil place local to us and we've been filling up there for the last 12 years.

This only works if emo has a centralised distribution unit and all their diesel comes from the one place.

It's not EMO, hasn't been for years

I'va a diesel and have been filling up there for the last three years with no issues.

Also, half the taxi drivers in dublin use it. I would have thought if they were selling dodgy fuel word would get out very quickly.

Your right its owned by economy fuels now.

http://www.louthcoco.ie/en/Louth_County_Council/Latest_News/Fuel_company_fined_%E2%82%AC36,000_for_unauthorised_advertising_signage.shortcut.html has anything to do with it?

It may only be pocket change to them though so not convinced it would shut them down.

It's not, it's owned by a midlands based farmer who leases it to them

And it wouldn't have been "owned" by Emo either, Emo is a franchise.

Good riddance. Why anybody would fill up at a petrol station that has deliberately misled people for years into thinking it is a franchise of a EMO is beyond me.

One on the quays was done twice for tampering with the pump yet taxis still packing their forecourts everytime I go by...
