Just installed a new screen on N150 netbook and while it turns on and lights up it is just showing a blank white screen. Got the new screen online from UK, same as old one so that seems fine, any suggestions as to what to do next?

I have a samsung n something netbook and the screen sometimes goes white. To fix it temporarily, I put the edge of the screen between two fingers and pinch them together. I do this on a few parts of the edge and the screen comes back. I think this is a well known issue though so if you youtube for a solution there is one there - I have not got round to doing it, but it entails taking the screen apart and reattaching.

I hadn't put it all back together again until I checked it so I can plug out the new screen and plug in the old broken one and it works, well other than half of it being missing but it shows the normal blue screen and I can log in and it all looks fine, but when I plug it out and plug in the new one it's just blank.
