Does anyone have experience mountain biking in Brecon Beacons in Wales?

I am in Brecon now. Came for 2 days.
Been mountain biking today on the 'trails' that are in the local mountain bike guide. Any of the 'trails' the local people recommend are not up to much.

Not what I expected. I have got tomorrow for more biking before I move on tomorrow evening.
Does anyone know if there is anything around here that is decent?
    Any recommendations?

    Thanks,

i've been using that to plan my trip,

i did 2 of the trails on there today and they were not enjoyable,
i've spent most of the day on roads and in fields,

i'm trying to find some proper purpose built trails similar to ticknock or ballinastoe,

it seems there are not too many around here,

bad planning on my behalf :-(

What about Afan Forest to the south of breacon we did it last year, we got lost ended up doing 50+kms. But is was good can you drive down for the day?

yes i've been looking at Afan alright,

I am going to drop my current rental bike back first thing in the morning and hope they don't charge me an extra day.

then head towards either Afan or Cwmcarn.
they look like the only 2 options that are easy to get to from Brecon.
