Connecting HDMI to TV blocking Saorview

    Hi, I bought a Samsung UE22D5003 Tv last week. I can receive Saorview using a basic rabbit ear aerial in my room. However, I've found that when I connect my laptop to the TV via HDMI, Saorview totally disappears, saying 'Weak or no Signal'. It's a real nuisance if I want to flick between my laptop and Saorview on the TV.

    Does anyone know why this is happening and can it be fixed?

    Is it the HDMI being plugged in or just the close proximity of the powered up laptop that causes the problem ? The signal from a rabbits ears antenna would be weak to begin with, any local interference (wifi/Bluetooth or just the laptops main clock) could be interfering with it.

    Try just plugging the HDMI lead in with the laptop powered off and see if the results are the same.
