Parade's End

    Did anyone watch this?

I really liked it, particularly because I had to put down the computer and pay attention.

It's shot beautifully, and the acting is great. Was a total mistake to watch the 30 mins "world of Parade's end" shown immediately afterwards, far too spoilery, so I turned off half way through.

Will watch it on catch-up tomorrow as was busy this evening (Friday night seems rather odd scheduling for a new BBC period drama!). Am very much looking forward to it, particularly as initial reactions seem very positive, and I typically love such programmes.

    Hopefully it won't disappoint!

I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. As you said an outstanding cast and acting and makes use of the beautiful English countryside.

One small gip I have is a few times I found they were mumbling and so I found it hard to pick up what they were saying but that only a smalll grip.
I though the part on the golf course was funny with the cop trying to catch up with the 2 girls- Poor old Gerty I didn't think she make it. :)

    Looking forward to next week.

I'm not deaf but there are some programmes I find it easier to follow with the sub-titles on.

It bored me rigid. I knew it wasn't Downton Abbey going in, but it seemed to think dull = highbrow. Cabbagepatch was the usual one trick mopey pony.
Stephen Graham was excellent as always and I loved the bit when he got the nut to eh....retire to his rooms.
That said, I'll give it a chance next week - the scenery was nice.
