Hello,

Since losing my job I have a lot of free time and have always been interested in helping the elderly in my town. I would love to help with grocery shopping, cleaning and keeping people company. This is something I have wanted to get involved with for a while now. I've been looking up info online but can't seem to get a lot of it. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction? You could try SVP or any of the charities for the elderly eg Age Action.

Thanks so much for the replies- I've found loads of info! Was chatting to the people that run louthvolunteers.ie and there's so many volunteer jobs at the min, really looking forward to getting stuck in
