Plumbing problems, Shires bathroom

My ex moved into an apartment a few weeks ago and had a plumber out twice to fix a pump (hot and cold water pressure), he turned off the water and since she's having trouble flushing her toilet and her shower head (from the bath taps) isn't working. The plumber was there the 2nd time to sort out these 2 problems that started after his first visit, he won't answer his phone and now it's off, don't blame him really, he only went to repair a pump that wasn't working, which he did and now cheap sh!t fittings are falling back on him.

She asked me could I have a look at it, I had a look yesterday and the syphon in the toilet, with my fingers could feel the plastic flange/flap valve inside curled upward, which means the water is not being pushed at enough pressure to get the flush syphon going, that should be fairly handy to sort.

There's a problem with the shower also, its just a shower hose coming from the centre of the taps, not a shower unit, the water isn't coming out of the head.
It's a Shire/s model and usually there's some kind of selector to choose if you want the water coming from the taps or through the shower head, on this model there is none.

I have never seen a tap/shower combo like this before, it's obviously some sort of automated system, that initially was working, pump went, pump fixed, now no water coming up through shower head.

I took the hose off to have a look inside to see what mechanism it uses and all I could see was a white plastic washer(maybe to reduce pressure to hose?), but I could not see anything that would stop the flow to the taps and send it up to the head.

When the water is turned on it comes out of the taps and shower hose connector, the only way I could increase pressure to the head was by holding my palm over the running tap and forcing the water out the head.

Has anybody come across these units before and know of a solution?

Actually I found a shower hose in the hotpress with no head on it, looked fairly standard, maybe it could be the original part and maybe some part of the problem, I'll try find a pic of the type of unit and see if anybody can advise me.

    Thanks

    EDIT:
here is a pic of the taps.

The diverter valve is where the shower hose connects to the tap unit. Its that round section just below the hose connection.
Turn on the tap, hold and aim shower head into the bath and lift the round section below where the hose connects to the tap up and water should flow out through the shower head.
This type of valve needs good water pressure to stay in place, although some of them will stay in place if you lift and give it a slight turn to the right. But if the pump is not working it may not work so well for having a shower.

As K.Flyer says above. The Model was known as Medici and was manufactured by an Italian company called Comisa Spa.

The diverter is the larger round piece that the hose screws into and moves up & down to switch from tap/hose.

The trick of turning it clockwise when pulled up to use shower normally holds it in place if pressure is weak. Also try greasing it slightly to allow lighter movement.

Hi, I have the same tap in my bathroom. I need to change the shower hose as it has a hole. I can't seem to be able to dislodge the shower hose from the tap. Does anyone know how to change the hose for this?

If you look at the pic the OP posted, there is a nut where the hose attaches to the tap/diverter. Unscrew anti-clockwise it with a spanner or wrench if it's too tight by hand.

Thanks so much! Do i need an original hose or will I be able to use a universal hose to replace my burst one?

    Any shower hose should do.
