    HI ,

Having a problem with two Sky HD box's ,

One a 1TB box and the other a 500gig box,

The input 2 signal strength/quality keeps dropping out after 7-9 hours but you will only notice it when you change over station, wont drop in the middle of a programme .

I have a quattro LNB running 2 other boxs without any issues at all which led me to believe I had a faulty box , swapped it out for the 500 gig box today and low and behold Im now having the issue on the second box , I changed the inputs about on the other box but it was always input 2 which would provide the issue.

Going to throw the meter on it tomorrow to see whats going but has me baffled, the signal on the other two boxs and input one on the faulty box is perfect in terms of both quality and signal, but input 2 is dropping in and out from perfect to nothing.

    RTE 1, 2 TV3 ,TG4 all breaking up ,

Turn on Sky 1 HD and now both inputs are perfect,

Im was thinking the LNB might be off a tad but why is the issue not replicated on the other box's , if I plug the box in and out it will be fine for another while .

The second box was brand new picked up yesterday , any ideas ?

It could be faulty cabling, even just right at the LNB connection. LNBs are very cheap these days. Make sure water has not got in the cable or that the screen is not shorting.
