Is there a sequence of buttons or the like you can press to get your rear fog light on in a corolla, but cancel the front ones.

Say when you're driving in seriously heavy rain on the motor way and don't want some idiot to drive into you from behind.

Foglights are a strange one, i see alot of Toyota's driving around with what look like fogs on but they may be daytime running lights or somesuch, wonder if there is a setting on my focus for that as they seem to only work as actual fogs

I.might be wrong but twist it once and its front then twist again and it recoils and turns the backs on. Twist back one and the fronts are off but backs on..... Not near my Toyota but think that works.

Mine doesn't recoil. It's twist for fronts and then one more click for both, but it doesn't seem to have a setting for just the rear light.

Nope, it's one click for front, two for rear. Makes perfect sense, it's either foggy or it's not

But that makes no sense? Why have the option one way and not the other if it's either foggy or not??

I like to put the back one on when on the motorway in VERY heavy rain as I usually slow down in this situation. In this case I don't need the fronts but I do need the back one??

But what harm is it having the front ones on if it's very poor visibility?

If you feel the visibility is poor enough for you to turn on your rear fog light you can be certain the visibility is the same on front.
As a driver who uses the motorways around the country and during a torrential down pore with poor visibility you and I make decisions that would be above a nd beyond normal conditions not worry too much about turning the fog lights on if required, just remember to turn them off if you dont need them. It's a pity the motorway road signs that remained turned off are not utilised to reduce speed limits and advise drivers to either turn on or off lights during poor conditions

Agree'd, if the conditions require the rear fogs then they require the fronts too.
