Hi, just wondering do you have to complete the 12 lessons before you can book a test? Or can you go ahead and book it say when you've got a few lessons done, so that by time the test date comes up you'll be ready?

What do you need to do to show that the 12 lessons have been complete - just bring the booklet on the day of the driving test?

You can book your test before your EDT course has finished. You just wont be given a date until the RSA have received proof that your EDT has been completed.
The proof the RSA require is given when your ADI electronically sends your EDT lessons to them.
The only thing you need to do is remember to bring your logbook with you to your test as the examiner may request to see it. Ensure your ADI/s have stamped that each lesson content has been delivered.
    Good luck
