What are the implications of accepting an offer this week and then choosing not to go ahead with it?

I did that in 2009 with DIT and decided to repeat the leaving cert....nothing happened.

If you accept it and then don't go ahead, at least let the college know as soon as you have made a final decision.

They may still be in a position to offer it to someone else who wants it.

We will know within a week as soon as the scripts are viewed and will notify the college immediately so that the place will be re-offered. If the teachers opinion on viewing the scripts is anyway 50;50 the intention is to repeat rather than wait for the rechecks.
    Thank you for clarifying this.
