Can I get an electricity connection without planning permission?

    Hi all. I have a small cabin (5mx5m) located in a woodland with no planning permission. My question is, is it possible to get an electricity connection without obtaining planning permission? And if not, can I obtain planning permission and get a connection without making a start on the construction of the house? I'd be grateful on any info or advice anyone can offer, thanks.

    You will need to contact ESB networks.
    However they will need a meter box to connect to and a registered electrician sign off.
    I believe that there are no more temporary connections during builds and that you need a full metered connection for all builds.
