The auld lad is hankering about taking a trip to London to see an elderly cousin of his in fulham.

Accomodation can be sourced in Fulham but which airport would be better , ie Heathrow or Gatwick ?

    Any advice is welcome.

    Ernie

If you're talking about distance from the airport then Heathrow is closer. The London underground line runs from Heathrow through Fulham to the city centre.

    Sort of.

The Piccadilly line runs from Heathrow to Central London and passes close enough to Fulham but there are no stops for Fulham on the line. For Fulham Broadway tube station, change at Earls Court and take the District Line southbound for two stops.

Depending on what part of Fulham you need to get to, there may be closer stations on the Piccadilly Line or elsewhere on the District Line.

Hammersmith (Piccadilly Line) is closest to the northern end of Fulham Palace Rd, (the main road running through the area), while Putney Bridge Tube station (District Line), is the closest to the southern end and Fulham High Street.

Heathrow is the closest and handiest airport for the area.
