Job Interview

I don't reckon there's anything wrong with a flowery top as long as it's not low cut. But I think a bold jewel block- coloured top would be nice with that suit. Maybe jade green or fuschia pink

It really depends on the company who's interviewing you and what the job is. If it's a company which is very formal, then it would probably be better to stick to something that's not too OTT. It would also depend on the top/blouse that you'd pick up. Some would be more suitable than others.

the interview im going to is like a work placement thingy.. (3rd year work placement in a pharmaceutical industry)

so i think this blouse sort of NEUTRALISES the manly look :D (going to wear pants)

    so what ya think??? :pac:

I think your top is nice but I don't think it really goes with your suit. A plain one colour top would be better

That top doesn't really suit (it doesn't fit very well with the collar and lapels of the jacket). If you want a pop of colour, then you are better off going with a simple shell top in a bright colour.

The top does not go with the suit - and don't worry about it because loads of women make this mistake. It's mainly the style of the top that is the problem, not the colour. Having a fussy pattern (like flowers) plus a fussy cut is not a good look and ends up looking a little mis matched with the suit.

If you do want to wear a pretty top, try either a plain cut or colour. Block colours can look great with a suit - a pink would look very pretty and feminine, espicially with a frill or something - or a pain cut top with a pattern fabric. Also, keep your accessories simple of you will end up looking a bit overdone (ie. if you are wearing a floral top, don't wear anything around your neck).

    Good luck in the interview!

Top doesn't suit, however, if you like it - it wouldn't hold you back.
If I was sitting opposite you and you did a good interview, I wouldn't be scoring you down on that top. I would be thinking it looks a bit strange.

too much going on with that blouse...

wear a fitted top in a strong colour like fushia, jade, magenta or deep red. Make sure shoes are co-ordinated too.

Something simple like this would work well under a suit jacket - strong colour gives brightness, while a simple piece of detail stops it from being too boring. Click on the photo to take you through to M&S full page

A plain top would complement the suit much better. A little bit of colour is always good pink goes well grey.

I agree with Tequila Shooter. The neckline of the blouse does not go with the suit and it looks a bit ill- fitting and casual for an interview. Something along the lines of the top the model in the picture you posted of the suit would be ideal with a nice necklace.

Pink would be a nice colour. Next and Marks and Spencers are often good for tops for under suits.

    Good luck with the interview.
