1996 Toyota Starlet

    Afternoon All,

I am about to put my first car up for sale - it's a 1996 1.3 Toyota Starlet with only 64000 miles, immaculate interior and reasonable bodywork. The timing belt was replaced at 58,000 miles and the tires only have about 7000 miles. The car is taxed until the end of January 2013 and NCT'd until May 2013.

I am not sure what the car is worth before I put it up for sale and would be grateful for your opinions.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Maurice

shame about the bit of bodywork damage, it'd be perfect other than that. granted the damage, but the amount of tax and test it still has i'd probably go in asking 800-850 see how it goes.

really depends. You could buy this for 500 or less off a mate but maybe slightly more on donedeal or something.

I sold a 98 one last year for 600... It was clean but high mileage(still going perfect)...had over a years test on it and a months tax.
I'd say you should be asking max 650 or you won't even get phone calls.

I'd take the hubcaps off it too and clean up the rims instead... They look awful sorry!!
    Good car for someone.
    Marty.

Thanks lads - I'm very reluctant to sell it but moving to the UK for a while so it's a great chance to upgrade. I bought it from a friend who learned to drive in it and the bodywork is the only bad thing I could say about the car - if only he'd been a bit more careful!
