Good luck to Lennon and the team tonight. It's been an enjoyable Champions League campaign so lets hope we go down swinging with a big perfromance tonight.

Disappointing end to a great European campaign. We didn't perform as well against Juve as we had in the group stages probably down to Juve doing their homework and having the quality to punish our mistakes.

Hopefully we can learn from this and go on a similar run next year.

Shame about tonight, but at least celtic lasted longer in Europe then man united

Was a great run, can't wait for next year!

Oh no they didn't they went out in the same round I really hope you aren't going to claim that by virtue of playing a day later

True, we can only claim to have made it as far as United, anything more is a fabrication of our success.
Success is what we had to a great degree. Was a great run and we had some memorable nights and broke our duck in terms of away European games, we lost out to a fantastic side that gave us respect and out played us twice. they did their homework and I wouldn't be suprised if Juve even went on and won it.
Last two times we made the knockout stages of the champions league we where knocked out by the eventual winners Ac Milan/Barcelons respectively.
We are never extremely lucky with draws/refereeing but in the end we can't blame any factors like that.
I think the team desearve a pat on the back and was a great run in Europe to add to another fine season by Lennon, who I am growing to love more and more.
lennon is settling into the role brilliantly and hopefully we will see some great signings this summer if the rumours are true that we are to lose Hooper/wanyama. So far so good on the signing department bar the one or two flops we have brought some great talent to Parkhead over the past two seasons under Lennons tenure. i am hoping for much more of the same.
Just heard on the radio this morning that we will have three matches to even make the group stage next season, not an easy feat in itself.
But roll on next season! can't wait to have another slice of Europe!

Neil Lennon will be staying, there's been no talk of him leaving at all.

He has said that he might like to try his hand at managing in England or at international level at some stage in the future, but that would be a few years away yet.

A shame we couldn't get some kind of result last night. We played well I thought but just lacked quality with our finishing and final pass in the attacking third. But overall we clearly have a lot to be proud of with how we peformed in the Champions League this season. Well done to Lennon and the team on a very good Champions League campaign.

Interesting formation for today's game 3-4-1-2.
Ross county in good form unbeaten in 10 so will be quietly confident of taking at least a point, hopefully we can bounce back from the disappointing result in midweek and get the ball rolling again

Leaking goals lately. Lennon needs to have a long look at how we defend.

That was awful. Two goal lead thrown away. Some of the players didn't look up to it today at all. The league is not won yet, the players need to get the holidays out of their minds.

Ambrose is worrying me at this stage, too many mistakes being made. Miku is not up to the job at all imo, very poor player. Mulgrew did ok aside from County's second goal. Wilson mopped up a lot more than he should have had to, thought he did well actually.

Figures, one time when I have you lot on the coupon and you're behind.

Against Aberdeen of all clubs  :pac:

Players not interested today again, Motherwell might even catch us :(

On another note, pic of the police upholding the democratic right to protest. This is from earlier before the game and it is the Green Brigade protest at heavy handed policing, looks like the police don't like that at all

:) I knew I would spur the team on 2-3 now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,747 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

Actually it is only justified to kettle like that if there is a chance of violence, which there was not. In fact, the police action made agro more likely

    Hooper equalises
