Celtic have had 633,304 fans through the gates this season, only Man Utd and Arsenal have more
    So much for poor attendance.

Arsenal's always amazes me given how obscene their ticket prices are and how little value for money you get in terms of atmosphere.

It's fairly well known that Celtic give attendances comprising of season tickets + tickets sold separately, regardless if those ST holders show up.
Which is a rather common practice though.

edit: I assume that's from your official website ?
Because both the ESPN and the SPL website paint a different picture.

    http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=home_statistics
    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/attendance/_/league/sco.1/scottish-premier-league?cc=5739

As for Arsenal: Many people still see them as a top club, so their season ticket waiting list is massive.

It's from SPL and Uefa's official figures. Rangers got 432,745 if you're interested.

The average attendance for non-OF SPL clubs is basically the same as it was last year (was 15.24 less last year :P) which is surprising given that the SPL is dying etc

Do you actually support a club of your own, or do you just dedicate your time to disliking Celtic?
Nothing wrong with his post, he questioned the figures and I answered.

Dude, I suggest you take a wee read of the Rangers thread - it might enlighten your opinion on that matter a wee bit.

    The irony, it burns.

By the way, pointing out that Celtic give attendances based on season tickets sold isn't 'disliking Celtic', or how else would you explain the huge differences in official attendances given by Celtic and those given by Strathclyde Police ?

But if those are UEFA's attendances too then I assume 3 sold out houses during the CL (+ qualifiers) are counted too, so I guess it makes sense.

Otherwise I'd have serious issues with believing that Celtic have already had over 3/4 of last season's attendances :pac:

I don't support rangers, so I don't usually go on there. Just like I don't usually go on the Man. Utd., liverpool, etc threads.

Believe me, it'd be an education.
Might shed some new light on one or two of the guys on this thread.

    Summary of Rangers thread:

    Celtic fan: LOL @ Rangers
Rangers fan: OMG UR OBSESSED *posts in Celtic thread

and vice versa - it just so happens there's been an awful lot to laugh at Rangers about over the past year or so

There's a slight difference in sometimes posting in the other one's thread, and posting there on pretty much a daily basis.

    Celtic v Killie

Kilmarnock: Bell, Fowler, Nelson, O'Leary, Tesselaar, Kelly, Racchi, Perez, Harkins, Heffernan, Sheridan. Subs: Letheren, Dayton, Johnson, McKenzie, Winchester, O'Hara, Sissoko.

Celtic: Forster, Matthews, Ambrose, Wilson, Izaguirre, Brown, Wanyama, Ledley, Mulgrew, Hooper, Nouioui. Subs: Zaluska, Miku, Samaras, Rogne, Watt, Kayal, McGeouch.

I thought Brown was going for an op after the Spartak game? He needs to sort out that hip problem sooner or later.

Brown is delaying his surgery indefinitely. May as well if he's not in any great pain.

Good to see only half the amount of Celtic fans as usual today. Abstain that you Killie sell outs!

Disgraceful that your fellow fans are boycotting an SPL club.

Boycotting a club who wanted to bend the rules to allow a new Rangers club into the SPL is a bit different to cherrypicking one SPL club to have a stroppy with out of the 11 who didn't fancy letting them in the backdoor.

Nice try though, probably thought you'd made a good point there :pac:

Yeah, go ahead and try to explain it, the irony is delicious though :D

For your information, Killie didn't vote Yes, they abstained.

Figured the explanation would be too complicated for you.

And everyone knows what their vote was. Don't be so naive.

The explanation is ****e, that's why.

But hey, if you want to believe 'you've got me', be my guest :D

Jaysus Killie fans are so bad. Every time we play them all they ever do is boo our players, sing the Billy Boys or shout Killie over and over again. Do they not have any songs?

Be grateful I was able to correct you instead of throwing my toys out the pram and accuse of of being obsessed like seemingly your entire mob of fans on here do when cornered

Its not just one club that will be on the end of this though there will be more. And when we have broken any rules doing what is happening, you will have the right to talk nonsense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,221 ✭✭✭✭Jelle1880

    Correct me, oh dear :D

Killie never wanted to bend any rules, they abstained.

And even if they did vote, are you really unable to see the irony in boycotting them, after the comments about our boycott ?

Broken rules? What? I've been nothing but vociferous in my support for yous boycotting Tannadice, because it makes you look like a laughing stock. This doesn't. Although I appreciate the subtle differences are too much for you to comprehend.

Run along now, I'm watching the match.

I honestly tried to give you the benefit of the doubt here but it appears your really aren't able to understand.

If they didn't want to bend the rules and bow to the SPL/SFA/Ibrox bullying they would have had a backbone and voted No like every other club who didn't want to see a disgraced Rangers newco in Scotland's top division. Instead their chairman fannyed out and tried to keep the rest of the league onside while toeing the line of the former establishment club. Unfortunately for him (and you) it didn't help and now your new club is playing Stirling at 3pm while we're in the L16 of the CL and winning Scotland's premier competition hahaha
