I think you might want to look into that a little further.

Lennon and Celtic will get a real test of their mental strength this Wednesday I think. After Saturdays poor showing I feel we really need a statement type performance on Wednesday.

Looks like Izzy is back in training and is expected to play Saturday in the Cup against Arbroath. That will be a big boost to have Izzy back. I felt he was just getting back to his best form when he picked up the injury so hopefully this injury hasn't set him back too much form wise.

From the wording of the url there I thought for a moment that Madrid had snapped him up :pac:

Stoke's never really struck me as the brightest bulb in the box, but what he does or who he is friends with away from football doesn't concern me in the slightest.

I think of Andy Goram can have a shrine to Loyalists and the Orange Order and still be employed then Stokes is okay going to memorials for his childhood friends :)

See, that's the thing, when Goram did it (or when Healy posed next to Jackie McDonald) there was a huge uproar, but this is fine then ?

Jelle has a point here lads. This is not fine at all, and Stokes deserves to be criticised heavily for it. A lot of young fans follow football and this sends the completely wrong message, he should keep his politics to himself given his profile.

When has he not kept it to himself?? He went to a tribute night for a lifelong friend??

He's hardly being discrete about it now is he? Which is my point, as long as he is in a high profile job like the one he has, he should keep this kind of thing private.

Also, I've no intention of getting into a prolonged slinging match about this with anyone.

Yep, am recording it and will be watching it about an hour late as I've to go out.... so SHHHHUUUUUUUSHHH with the score updates lol! ;)

Confident we'll see a reaction to the poor performances of late. I fully expect a comfortable win tonight. Would love to see Hooper start a prolonged period of scoring tonight, he's been a bit too quiet of late.

I don't see a comfortable win tonight. It's about getting the three points and I think we'll scrape them but not by hammering them. Consistency has been lacking and that's down to the chopping and changing, a lot of that is due to injuries of course.
Hooper has been quiet, he did have an injury there but we need him back to scoring form.
I would start Kayal too, just to get him settled because Victor is out of the Moscow game.

Nor am I mate, and tbh Im not really a fan of Stokes, but I dont see what he did wrong here, he posed for a photo with a random women in a pub?

My take on the Stokes thing is if the money from the fundraiser is going to the family of his dead friend then it is of no real interest to me, if the money (or even some of it) was going to find it's way to the RIRA then his contract should be paid up and he be released from the club. As far as I am aware it is the former so a non-issue for me until proven otherwise.

I see you didn't catch the obvious sarcasm in comparing having an actual shrine to sectarian murder gangs with going to your friend's memorial

I think you need to look up 'sarcasm'.

When that friend was a RIRA member it kind of changes things

I have childhood friends that joined the police and armed forces, generally I don't like to be seen associated with these people but I make exceptions when they're good friends :)

So what if Stokes attended a memorial to Alan Ryan? What is the issue?... Should everyone who attends such a memorial then have their job questioned?
And, although not the exact same issue but, If you have a high profile job are you immediately barred from having political beliefs incase they offend people?
