    As above,
Considering buying a new exhaust for the gti.
Not really interested in a performance gain as such, just after getting back into a petrol after the diesels im loving the sound and would like to improve upon it. Milltek seem to be most popular for the GTIs, any reason why? Would a cnon resonated cat back system do the trick? And what sort of money am I looking at? Any advice on this would be great lads, i know nothing about it! Cheers,
    P

Miltek is pure robbery tbh. Alot of VW owners tend to value product quality and assume that most expensive is best. That being said Miltek is probably the best if you want a fairly quiet system but Mongoose is also a cheaper option.

    What you going for ?

    Full system with catback
Full system with catback and turbo downpipe
Full system with catback turbo downpipe and decat/sports cat

Someone like George Dalton would know better than me if Miltek is worth the almost 100% premium but he has his own problems atm unfortunately

Miltek is the only option imo. In terms of quality, sound and power gains nothing really touches it.

I have a full turbo back, non resonated system on order for my .mk4 gti and it's costing around €750. That's from Keith in alloywheels.ie, going to the UK for it wasn't much cheaper.

Any other system is a compromise I've learned, after doing a fair bit of research.
