Anyone know any decent venues in Dublin that let you play for free?

Preferably ones with a decent crowd, but if not one could always promote the **** out of it. :p

Eamonn Dorans used to but that was a long time ago. Does Eamonn Dorans still exist? If so you could try there

You'd be surprised. I know of two venues where you have to pay for the hire of the room and you dont get paid.

As opposed to paying the rent, charing on the door and keeping whatever you make in excess of the rent?

Dorans has re-opened on Lesson St, but it's nothing like the old venue, they've a small room upstairs; no stage and not much in the way of in house PA.
