Plastic Bumper Repair

    Advice Needed.

Brand new car with less that 4000km on clock was rear ended over the weekend. Low speed so only slight damage to bumper.

No one hurt and other driver has agreed to pay for the damage.

The bumper of the car has a hole in it about 1 cm wide and is scratched and retains paint from the other vehicle.

I know I could ask the person to replace the bumper as its a new car etc etc but I'd be happy with a repair if I thought it was going to look as good as the original bumper.

Does plastic welding and colour matching on bumpers really work, or should I just go back to the main dealer and get a new bumper ?

If it works and anyone knows someone in North Tipperary area that provides this service let me know.

As the car is new, I'd go for a new bumper, you also need to check for damage behind the bumper.
