I researched this for months and ended up getting a Britax Isofix seat in Halfords. Do you want forward or rearward facing??

my car doesnt support isofix so that narrows down the choices for us, but we are looking for a forward facing

We've a couple of these and they are brilliant. They have isofix but you don't have to use it.

We got them in halfords newry in a sale for £120 each then there was also an offer of £40 off the purchase of any two seats so it was well worth the drive up.

I would suggest bring your car to somewhere that knows about baby seats, noit a place that sells them. Not every seat will fit every car right. Too many seats fitted poorly by either the owner or just does not fit the car. I would recommend going to Tony Kealy's in Walkinstown. That is all the do now is baby stuff. When we were getting seats the brought the seats to the car and make sure they fitted right.

Isofix only really handy for their first seat... Where they'll be sleeping a lot on it.
We've 2 maxi cosi priori and they are really quick in and out if needed, easy get the covers off em too if needs be for washing.
Have a maxi cosi cabrio in our other car and it's a good seat but a pain to take in and out and stripping the fabric off it is tricky too.
Looked at a good few at the time and the priori to me was the best without spending silly money.

ISOFIX is handy for seats of all ages, not just for their first seat.

Having had both isofix and non isofix I dont agree.
You'll be leaving the bigger forward facing seat in the car pretty much permanently bar cleaning whereas the smaller seats are in and out if the car daily whilst the child is still in the seat

The seat I mentioned above (priori) is really fast install and remove. (non isofix)
