Is it for a voucher or the stick itself?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

    It's for the key..
There are no further redemption steps for this deal. Your Paypal Billing Address will be used for delivery unless you send an email requesting otherwise to: address@divvydeal.com

I ordered this and it went through but my PayPal account is for an irish address, might this be rejected as the postage charge is for within the UK?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,780 ✭✭✭pissed

Just ordered. Went through paypal so assume the £3 will cover Ireland too .

I found it on a French website, so i assume the same applies here. I ordered one, and it went through, so i doubt it would be rejected now.

Young lad needs a usb for school. He said more than 4gb so this will just about do. Time to block Bargain Alerts I think. Thats an Lg phone and another USB stick in a matter of days:D

Sweet timing just bent my 32gb last night through clumsiness.
    Cheers.

I know in the pic it says USB 3.0 but does anyone know the write speed.

I am interested in getting one but there's no point buying a 64gb with 10mb write speed.

    Any idea anyone?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,389 ✭✭✭✭Saruman

The only USB3 one listed on the PNY site is 32gb
That one shows up to 80MB/s though.

Shocking if this is true. But as someone stated on HUKD.com, that only two people have got them, and said they were fake, so there is a tiny glimmer of hope.

    Worse: LINK :mad::mad:
    Rules of the deal

These terms and restrictions are applicable to every Deal voucher, unless specifically stated otherwise in the Deal's Small Print:
    Cannot be redeemed in part
    Not valid for cash back
Must be used in a single visit
Does not cover any additional tax, service charge or gratuity
Cannot be combined with other offers
Cannot use until day after purchase
For experiential deals, all bookings are subject to availability

But i think that's the for deal "Voucher".

Has anyone heard back from TechRadar?

In fairness I dont think this would apply to fake product. If techradardeals were selling fake usb memory unknown to them I am sure they would refund. Why put your online business in jeopardy for the sake a a few usb sticks? I am sure My delivery will be here by Thursday and all will be well :)

Do you have to do anything after you have bought the deal?

I've have bought the deal but have got no correspondence since then.

    Nope.

I'm after hearing that someone got one, and it is 64GB and USB 3.0. So hopefully, and fingers crossed etc.. I'll post more when he gives me pictures etc..
The reason they are not blue inside the connection is because they were not supposed to be sold in Europe.
Also, i forgot, I paid with Paypal, so everything should be safe enough..
    I'm hoping all is good.

Still haven't hear back from my friend. But i just got the email also..

Voucher sites seem to be where the scammers are going. I think it'll be a while before i purchase from one again. Saying that, it is relatively painless, because of the security they have, but it's annoying all the same.

Well, cash back :D , But no 64GB USB 3.0 Key .

Still no sign of the refund to my paypal account. They were quick enough to take the money. Have escalated to a claim with paypal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 561 ✭✭✭Dazza

Email said to wait 7 days before we should get a refund. No need to escalate yet!

I just got this email -

    Dear xxxx

We are writing further to the email you received from Divvy Deal about your refund for the USB deal. We understand that Divvy Deal, who operate the TechRadarDeals website on our behalf, may not be able to provide the refund within the promised timeframe. We have therefore taken the decision to fulfil your refund, so that none of our valued TechRadar customers are out of pocket.

We want to assure you that we are working very hard to ensure that your refund will be paid to you as soon as possible. We are aiming to process all refunds within the next 4 working days direct to your paypal account.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this has caused. For your information, we will shortly be ceasing our deal programme with Divvy Deal.

If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact us on the email below.

    Yours Sincerely

    TechRadarDeals

    ^Same.

At least we have learned to stay away from DivvyDeal anyway, the blame seems to be solely theirs.
