ITB, bike setup advice

    Hi Lads,

First off I'm not looking for medical advice.

I've been to a physio and they have explained I have a tight ITB on my left leg. Gave me some stretching exercises and also advised using a roller which I've been using.

I did a 50km sportive about a week ago and felt OK during the spin.

I went for a spin yesterday and did about 35km, but felt the ITB was not happy, not as severe as I originally got which was like a stabbing pain on the outside of the knee.

Got up this morning with the intent of doing about 50km but after only 5km I could feel the pain coming on again, I ended up only doing 10km.

    So, my question:

I don't use clipless pedals/cleats etc. has anybody relieved ITB issues by using or correcting foot position with cleats?

I was out with Dom in Base2Race and he did the best he could with what he had to work with, me and the bike!! I'm assured the saddle height is correct and I have the correct frame size. Dom identified poor riding style which I've been working on.

So any ITB sufferers out there?

    Thanks

    KEvin
