How to stop my Rear Wiper working on 2010 Octavia

    Hi

I have to put on a Bike Rack on my Octavia for the holidays and unfortunately the rack will extend onto the rear window.

Can I disconnect the wiper from working for the week as it is sure to get caught by the rack if it starts up. I notice on reversing that it 'automatic' turns on to clear the windscreen - something I want to avoid.

    Any ideas???

Could try removing a fuse but it may stop more than your rear wiper.

You can turn off the automatic wipe when put in reverse via VCDS.What year is your Octavia and where are you based?

Looking at the Fuse Instructions - I can see in the Manual that there is a fuse (think Mo.41) but on opening the panel on Driver Side of dashboard - there is no fuse in that slot!!

The car is a 2010 Octavia...

The rear wiper does have a fuse of it's own.

I had mine disconnected and nothing else went off.

Pull that out and the wiper can't work.

Am I correct at looking at the Fuses on the Driver side of the Dashboard??
