Ryanair Travel Insurance - AVOID

Has anybody here ever successfully made a claim from Ryanair travel insurance?

Does anybody know offhand if mobile phones are covered?

They seem to be great at publishing scaremongering poll results
I wonder what their complaint statistics are like?

My phone (a new Galaxy S II) was stolen in Holland last week and trying to claim is a nightmare. It's no secret that insurance is a borderline scam at the best of times but Ryanair take the biscuit. I'm sent on a recursive search through their horrible website and of course there is no customer service number.

It all depends on the details of your policy...

Maybe you should read the details of your policy first.

Could you claim under your house insurance policy? Did you lose it or was it stolen? Did you report it to the local police?

None of that matters if it's not included in the terms of the policy.

+1 Ryanair is just an agent of the insurance company so I very much doubt that they are doing any claims processing. More likely you have to contact the insurance company and claim from them.
