    Good evening.

I was thinking about heading down here for a retreat at Glendalough Hermitage Centre with missus Onesimus

I was wondering If anyone has have ever been here before? is it a safe and quiet place? No trouble? Good area for walks without a can of dutch gold in sight for miles and miles? Do all the fish in the river look like fish and not mutants? Everything nice and clean?

Basically, does it do what it says on the tin so-to-speak?

I would be interested if you have any info about it at all.

    God bless
    Onesimus

Glendalough is a beautiful place. The only drawback I can think of is that if you happen to be there on a nice weekend it can be swamped with people. Aside from that it's peaceful, clean and extremely scenic. It's part of the Wicklow Mountains National Park and they've created a series of loop walks which you can read about here, they're very well signposted and easy to follow. I recommend the white route for the views, be warned that it starts with 600 steps though! :D
