Hi guys,
Just wondering if the bonus points for maths are counted for the entrance scholarship?

What bonus points for maths? It's been a while since the LC affected me so I've not been keeping up to date, but when did NUIG introduce bonus points for Maths? I know UL gives 40 points for doing honours or somesuch...

I believe it only came in this year for universities and certain colleges (Link). 25 points extra for passing Honours Maths. *sigh* Do they really think that'll tackle the problem of students dropping down to pass maths? But that's another debate for another thread.

OP, I'd recommend either asking in the LC forum or ringing NUIG directly (Contact page) to see if the bonus points affect entrance scholarships in universities.

Just my own speculation here, is that since NUIG is among the colleges offering bonus points for maths, they do count towards the scholarship.
