About a week ago my laptop has started to act really strange.

    IL give a few examples.
One is when I left click to say open Firefox from a shortcut on the desktop. When I go to double left click to open Firefox up pops a screen asking me to confirm id like to delete the shortcut.
The keyboard is not working correctly. Like the keys at the bottom wont work. When I hit them I just get a beep noise. Also if I am in Firefox and I start to type if I hit the letter D(Example) up pops a screen asking me to bookmark the page. (There just a couple of the things as examples that happen, there r more)

I have done a clean install of win7 but its still the same, I have ren a load of virus and spyware programs and noting has changed. I am at a total loss of what to do... I cant fix this myself it seems. Can anyone help me out on what might be wrong and what I need to do to try fix it?

I really hope someone can help, Im lost here :-/

Did you, at any stage, spill something on the keyboard? The biggest offenders are softdrinks but tea or coffee can do damage too.
That's what is sounds like to me, in which case you'll need to replace the keyboard.

In Firefox, CTRL+D creates a bookmark, so my guess is that your keyboard is constantly picking up CTRL as being pressed. Did you spill any liquids on your keyboard?

You should open up the laptop and check the ribbon cable from the keyboard to the motherboard, make sure its tightly connected at both ends. If that fails you should be able to use an external keyboard, and disable the one on the laptop

Also insure no keys are stuck down or anything silly like that.

Nothing has been spilt on the laptop but in saying that I cant see it 24/7 but no as far as I know it has never got wet in any way.
Its not just the keyboard either like.. Thats just one problem. Trying to start a program or open a folder up pops a screen asking me to confirm delete yes or no. Its not just the D key either its happening with a lot of keys.

    Im really lost :/

Connect an external mouse and test.

Good idea, but be careful with what you conclude from that experiment. External mouse and keyboard don't override the laptop's keyboard and touchpad. So if the control button on the laptop's keyboard is stuck it will still generate a <ctrl> + D when you just press D on the external laptop...

Could stickykeys be enabled? Maybe download a program that tells you what keys the computer thinks are being pressed.
