I will be cycling into College(Dublin south city centre) commencing in October and I want to lock my bike somewhere safe at night.

Is Drury street Car Park the only car park that has one whole level for just bikes and has anyone used it as that would be an ideal place.

Are there any other car parks that offer this service?

Also have a Sinus Plus Combo Abus Lock with lead

Want to get another decent U Lock one to lock the front tyre

Anyone recommend a decent but not mad expensive one

    Thanks

Drury Street closes at 11pm (7pm Sundays and Bank Holidays) so you can't access your bike outside of those times. I use it regularly and have never had a problem there. If you have quick release wheels use a cable in addition to your lock/s.

EDIT: I just see that you already have a cable.

Drury Street is a great facility in my experience, I've probably used it about 5 times now and there's usually plenty of bikes there. I've never used it at commuter times though.

I'm not aware of any other car parks offering this service, Drury Street is owned by Dublin City Council, most others are private companies.

The Kryptonite Evolution Mini is frequently recommended on here, but I don't have one myself.

Just park it where there will be constant activity day and night. Once you do that it will be fine as not even the most brazen thief wants to an observed in the act so to speak. Foster Place beside the Starbucks on Dame St is ideal as the taxi men are there 24 hours a day. Also anywhere there is are lots of pedestrians will do the trick.

think it closes at 12PM during the week and 01:00 Fri/Sat but you would need to double check..

    Apologies - I stand corrected. Open to 1am Mon-Sat.
