Some interior cleaner and depending on the material asoft microfibre cloth.
    No wire brushes:pac:

If you had a wet vac, it would be extremely helpful.

A mild APC mixture, spray on, agitate a little and use the wet vac to suck the moisture out (no need for the spray on the wet vac). Leave to dry....might need to do it twice to prevent tide lines from the water marks.

Failing the wet vac, as mentioned in previous post ;)

I've got some AG intensive tar remover, apparantly it's very good at cleaning fabric. I've yet to test out that claim though.

Although AG themselves said its suitable....

"Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover can also be used on rubber, synthetic carpets and upholstery to remove oil-based stains"

....Im not so sure, but it would be extremely advisable to test on an inconspicuous area first.

I'd personally feel safer using a water based product, such as Surfex HD - water down to suit the intended job!
