I'm between Joe Hart and Danny Welbeck. A few others in the running but those are the main two

I have Torres and Lampard but think I will go with Torres!

Welbeck? I think you may get rid of him after tonights news. I can't see him getting much of a look in for a while with the RVP signing.

    Torres for me, DGW.
Anyone with a Chelsea player has to pick him for captain.

    I know. :\

Need to find someone of the same value as him now since my entire team cost exactly £100m.

If I had Aguero, I'd pick him. But I don't so it's Torres for me.

Same for me. I'm surprised no one has picked Aguero in the poll yet but I guess a lot of people have chanced Tevez in his place after last week (myself included).

If this was asked before kick-off in the Community Shield game last week I wouldn't be surprised to see Aguero in Torres' position on the poll.

Just a shout out but GW1 Chelsea and Reading play twice!
Everyone going to have Torres by the looks of it

I don't think its anything to do with what Tevez did, its all to do with Torres having 2 games. If he didn't Aguero would be the natural pick. Torres has been the pick for GW1 ever since the Reading game was moved.

    Lampard

Dropped Welbeck and brought in Torres. Jumping on the bandwagon, yes, but Welbeck would've had to go eventually. :)

If I could be certain he'd play both games I'd go with him too. But Chelsea have so many midfielders and so many games.

Reassuring that so many others are going for Torres, safe in the mind that if you fail, others will too :pac:

I picked Aguero in the poll but he won't be in my team. "Removal Van" threw that one at me after his news and my team is all over the place as a result.

The head says Torres but the Saints in the champions gaff with nothing to protect them but their pride? They'll be mauled by a team that is getting the taste for winning and want to put the goal difference to advantage like the start of last year.

It could be Tevez in reality though.

Me too, but the 70%+ here for Torres isn't backed up in the real world. Only 28% of total players actually have him.

Well naturally. There are nearly 2 million players in 'the real world' and only 85 voted on this poll. The poll on the FFS site should bear a little bit more resemblance to 'the real world'.

We're getting there. I'm going for Torres. Two games with a quality midfield behind him and he's pretty much guaranteed a start in both unless RDM does a Spain on it and drop Torres again.

I think it is very risky not to capt him this week,he scores 3 goals over 2 games and bang, way behind already!......captain choice by default

i hope he starts both. and the next game at home to Newcastle, who have an evening Europa League game away from home 2 days before - then down to London to face Chelski - i hope they're wrecked and Torres rips them to shreds

I'm surprised no-one has Cech as captain...at least he is a definite starter and with two clean sheets over the two games - 24 points in the bag (not even including any bonus points)..

Anyone agree with that thinking? Torres might get subbed, or not even score...

I was actually thinking the same myself last night. Chelsea's two games on paper should see them get two clean sheets.

Still haven't decided whether to keep Torres as captain or go for Cech...

I have a feeling RVP will score a hattrick against everton

Cech might not keep two clean sheets either though!

My way of thinking is that there's a bigger potential upside to Torres than Cech and that's why I'd pick him over Cech.

    I did the same. :(

Now, let's just hope Cech doesn't save 3 penalties and Torres doesn't get sent off after 2 minutes of the first match... :pac:
