Personal Trainer Advice Needed

    Hi there,

Im looking for advice on which course is best to do in personal training. I've had an interest in weight lifting and athletics for as long as I can remember but never the full knowledge that I want.(Also looking to obtain knowledge in different areas too)

So I've looked through multiple courses in the Limerick area and can't decide which one is better than the other. They all hype themselves up so much it's hard to know. So advice from any one with any experience is greatly appreciated.

I looked through ACE, NCEF, Profi Fitness etc...
Let me know what you have done and how it would compare towards any other course please.

    Thank you

A good few years ago when I started my training, the NCEF course was the course to do, it was done in conjunction with UL. You are insurable straight away after a year.

Checkout repsireland, they will have a listing of colleges that do courses. For personal training I now believe you should have a degree of some sort. Thats only my personal opinion though. I personally done a fetac level 5 course and then completed my honours degree in Exercise and health in WIT.
