you need a valid VAT Reg. No. to use pixmania pro, the vat is the difference in the price

Pixmania-pro has a much more restricted set of products, and things are sometimes more expensive than the consumer site too which makes no sense. Given the way they handle their warranty stuff when you don't buy their own add-on (35 working days on last attempt with a HP laptop), I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

This happens as large companies set them up as a vendor and then they buy stuff on credit for 30 days so they can do their accounts. Normally the products cost more because of this. It is common for businesses to pay more in this situation.

Pixmania are awful. They mightn't have it in stock but you wont find out until after you order.

I purchased a Zoom Handy H4n recoder from Pixmania in Ireland 18 months ago. The in-built microphones stopped working about a year ago and now the volume has stopped working. I understood there was a two year warranty, as this was on their site.

I called to see how I could return the device but was told (by a very rude woman) that their 'retail' site offers a 2 year warranty on the Zoom Handy H4n but their 'Trade' site only offers a 1 year warranty. Because we are a company we had to buy from their 'Trade' site.

I asked how they can justify offering two different warranty periods on the same product and was told tough luck, "I should have researched it more".

It's bad enough that your product became defective so quickly, but to get this kind of treatment is even worse.

Guess where I won't be spending my money next time..

    Ken

you still have rights as a consumer, trade or otherwise, goods must be fit for purpose and you should reasonably expect your product to last longer than two years.......you shouldnt let this go
