Hey there, I was just wondering do the brands of powerline adaptors factor in to their functionality?

I have one I bought in PC world and a branded one from 7dayshop.com and was wondering are they compatible?

Won't be home til later this evening so am wondering would I be wasting my time.

It seems that many work together, dont know if there's documentation to know which, I suppose if you can find a full specsheet you'd know.

Probably depends on encryption and standards used.

If they are the same standard they will work together.

So HomePlug AV2 from one brand will work with other HomePlug AV2 products.

HomePlug AV2 products should backwards compatible with HomePlug AV.

However Homeplug AV and AV2 are rarely compatible with the older HomePlug 1.0
