Recovery Winch

I'm in that market for a 12 volt recovery winch to mount on a recovery trailer

After speaking to many in the know everyone reccommended <snip>

They even have ads on donedeal for their winches, this is the one I want:

    http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/tools/2348027

Rang the owner of the shop, was talking to him about it, nice guy, and said I would come down the next day to see it (and buy it), he said they were in stock and all.

Drove 2 hours to get there only for his son to call him up and hand me the phone for him to explain as to why there was none in stock  Not only could I not buy one, I couldn't even get a look at a new one

Drove home annoyed, but still needing the winch, so tried to call them, several times in fact on both numbers, to order it and have it sent down to me as soon as one came in, got no answer or even a reply to messages that I was requested to leave, even this morning same story.

I like to buy from Irish Companys but after this messing I think I'll take my business else where.

Where else can you buy recovery winches in Ireland, Google searches all lead to the original source?

That's a pity about the service, most lads I know buy from them, no-one else here competes with their prices. Was talking to them at Flowerhill recently, they were expecting a new range of Superwinches in, still made in China but of a better quality.

Other than them you could try Jonathan at Crozier 4x4 in Moate or Clara

The best UK source is possibly David Bowyer at Goodwinch, really knows his stuff. http://www.dborc.co.uk/goodwinch/

Just had a call back and they are going to send me down the winch as soon as they get it,

Over night courier with no charge, so maybe things will work out, thanks for the reply 101sean ;)
