New job and interview

After many months of applying for anything I could find, I was finally offered a job last week. Im due to start next monday, and will have 3 - 5 weeks of training. All great so far. It involves moving to a different part of the country, but Im looking forward to it.
Now the only problem is that I have an interview tomorrow for a better paid job, close to where I live now, and with better prospects.

My dilemma is do I tell the company Im interviewing with tomorrow about the other job, and what to do if Im offered the second job after starting the first?

i would say something along the lines of "I have been offered a job with XYZ Company, however I feel that I would fit in better with your company due to (insert some random bluff here that you have gleaned from their site during prep)."

Whatever you do, do not mention during the interview that you have been offered a job with lessor pay/benefits.

Best of luck with the interview and decision making process (if you are offered the second job)

I had this same issue previously. Go to the interview see how it goes and what happens dont mention the second job. You can decide at offer stage (if there is one) which one to take.

I had to break the news to one of the jobs i was offered. the guy sounded genuinely disappointed and was hoping to know why they were not my choice. I was honest and he was happy enough.

if you have to move due to the location of the new job, have you given up your current place you live in, also did you sign a lease yet on whereever you will be living now or have you sorted out living arrangements yet?

If that was me, I definitely wouldnt tell them tommorow.

And start the other job, and worry about your decision then. You dont really have any other choice, you are hardly not going to show up on Monday with the assumption that you have the closer job so theres nothing you can do.
