    It is a new oven. should of went to the chipper and got them there

    Are you sure set oven on properly could have been just the grill.

    an oven is only about 900w usually. so 10 minutes to warm up and maybe around 20 for the chips still only 10c worth of electricity. A massive bag of oven chips can be had for 99c in aldi.

    Don't like the taste, get a deep fat fryer. You pay a bit more cause you use a bit of oil that can later be used to light the fire or made into biodiesel. Electricity consumption will be slightly less too. Unless the local chipper is working for nothing I doubt it'd be cheaper
