Sky Box, no picture.

Spoke to a family member this morning, says his Sky receiver is showing the epg on screen, and he is getting sound but no picture. No "bad signal" messages. A strange one.
Has anyone else come across this? Before I go over there to start looking for a fault, it strikes me that the receiver is faulty, it's a standard sd Sky box with FSFS card.
    Any pointers gratefully accepted.

You could try the connection..I.E. Scart lead...

    Might be faulty,,or loose.

I had thought of that, but then the epg wouldn't show on screen if it were the scart, surely.
Thanks though, I will suggest it as a possible cure, you never know..

    Well,,it happened to Me once..

Had the sound, but no picture...Turned out the scart lead was faulty...The metal part that surrounds the pins was after coming loose..

    A new lead sorted it...

    Just a suggestion.
