Any comments to start the discussion, BB? Just to get the ball rolling, I'll point out that the odds of 'the international bankers' (whoever they are) having anything to do with this are just about zero. :)

I just thought it was funny. I suppose the conspiracy is in the subtext, that Wikileaks and Anonymous are controlled opposition. Something that I am undecided about personally. I edge towards Wikileaks being not, but I'd suspect that Anonymous would at least be infilitrated.

Interesting idea. How could they prevent it? And governments would be extremely foolish not to try - it's not like they can trust Anonymous not to do harm.

Well whoever made the video can't even spell Libya, so yeah, good chance it's the bankers!

I'm sorry Monty, I don't quite follow. Do you mean how could Anonymous prevent infiltration?

Call me "paranoid" but I would suspect that in the US especially every troublesome group across the spectrum from anarchists to Neo-Nazi is infiltrated - Jihadi, anti-abortion agitators, militias, KKK, Black Panthers even the hippy groups etc etc as well as the street/prison gangs and especially the drugs cartels and assorted mafias.

Lybia is an alternate spelling. Just like Gadaffi / Qadaffi / Kadafi.

I'd say the other way around, although I don't think either are controlled. Wikileaks has a few people at the top, making it easier to control. Anonymous is a collective, and while I've no doubt the authorities try to keep tabs on those involved and the main drivers, its not exactly a secret club to 'infiltrate'. Also alot of its main ideas are completely counter to what you'd say the elites want, why would they be rallying in support of free speech for example, and by extension getting more ordinary people interested in it?

Yeah, that's what I meant - it's difficult enough with groups above a certain size in the real world. Can you imagine trying to form what amounts to an illegal gang over the web? You'd probably end up eventually with the infiltrators outnumbering the actual hackers.

They did actually manage to find a fellow to inform on them.

He's probably not the only one. Their attacks on companies affect the individual moreso than the company. They've always struck me as an attention seeking destructive group that really aren't being in any way like a true hacktivist(not sure if they even exist).:pac:

lol, it's not an alternative, it's very common spelling mistake. Lybia is a genus of small crabs.

The Origin of The Name Libya:

The name Libya is often written in various forms including Lybia, Libia, Libye and Lebya. There are several theories attempting to explain the origin of the name, but it is almost certain that it comes from the ancient Berber tribe known to the ancient Egyptians as Rebu or Ribu; from which the Greeks derived "Libya", and which the Arabs of today's Egypt know as Lubia, whence Lubians, in line with their relatives and neighbours the Nubians. The name Libia, as found in the archaeological site of Qasr Libya or Qaser Libia, in Cyrenaica, is widely thought to have been derived from the ancient Libyan village of Olbia. According to the Berber Leo Africanus (1600, p.13), it was called Libya by the Greeks: "Because it was in old time conquered by Libs the king of Mauritania. In the holie scriptures it is called Chamesis, by the Arabians and Ethiopians Alkebulam, and by the Indians Besecath.” In the Bible the Libyans appeared as the Lubim, where the -m denotes the plural form; but after the Hebrews decided to add the letter H to several names, like Abram becoming Abraham, and Sara > Sarah, the Lubim appeared in the Old Testament as Lebahim, the son of Mizraim; which Oric Bates, in his unique book The Eastern Libyans, was the first to identify with the modern variant Ta-Mazigh-t (Tamazight), an appellation widely applied to the whole Berbers of proud North Africa. The proposed etymology of 'Libya' being moisture has no support other than the "Libyan wind" which brought rain to Greek mainland; and as it is obvious that Greek Libu is the same as Egyptian Ribu one does not need to propose a Greek etymology for a name that is not Greek. The proper etymology must be sought in the mother language of the given word - the ancient Libyan language: Tamazight, others know as 'Berber'. Egyptian and Berber languages are both members of the Hamitic branch of the Hamito-Samitic linguistic family, and many of the ancient Egyptian and Berber mythical gods and goddesses are still represented on the rock art of the great Mother Sahara, in what is known as the largest collection of prehistoric art in the world: well over one hundred thousand sites.

However nowadays that's a spelling mistake

The guy who made that video.. I bet he certainly wouldn't have tribute videos to Assad and Gadaffi and videos decrying "NATO rats" - which would just be too convenient ;)

Anyone want to provide a definitive list of "international bankers" linked to all these conflicts and organisations mentioned with evidence and back up some of the accusations or is this just another junk video? (strongly guessing the latter)
