It's become forum tradition for us all to embarrass ourselves and make some horrendous predictions. And this year is no different. Usual categories, copy and paste the below and feel free to add your own categories (Quoting the below will help you keep the categories in bold - easier to read for others).

    AFC North Winner: Baltimore Ravens
    AFC South Winner: Houston Texans
AFC East Winner: New England Patriots
AFC West Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
AFC Wildcards: Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos

NFC North Winner: Green Bay Packers
    NFC South Winner: Atlanta Falcons
    NFC East Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
NFC West Winner: San Francisco 49ers
NFC Wildcards: Chicago Bears, New York Giants

AFC Championship Game: New England Patriots @ Houston Texans
NFC Championship Game: Atlanta Falcons @ Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl: Atlanta Falcons vs Houston Texans
    Super Bowl Winner: Atlanta Falcons

    MVP: Aaron Rodgers
Offensive Player of the Year: LeSean McCoy (Im picking someone different than the MVP as they usually go two different players)
Defensive Player of the Year: Jared Allen
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Robert Griffin III
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Mark Barron

Surprise Team (Good): Atlanta Falcons (well, if I have them winning the Super Bowl, I have to have them here I reckon.
Surprise Team (Bad): San Francisco 49ers (they'll probably still win their division, but I'd have them going out in one of the wildcard games).
Breakout Player: Julio Jones (to lead the league in either receiving yards or TDs, or both!)
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Maurice Jones-Drew (combination of holding out and what could be a mammoth workload when he does report could spell disaster).

Audacious Prediction of the Season: St. Louis Rams to have to choose between Sam Bradford and Matt Barkley come April next year.

Your own team: New England Patriots
    Regular Season Record: 14-2
    Best Rookie: Dont'a Hightower
Most looking forward to seeing: What Josh McDaniels has in store for this offence.

AFC North Winner: Cincinnati bengals (steelers have a few holes and ravens are getting older im not saying this will happen but i think the bengals have some good young players and there not afraid of there more illustrious rivals)

    AFC South Winner: Houston Texans
(more predictable but im gona say the colts will do a lot better than people think i could see them piping the titans for 2nd)

AFC East Winner: New England Patriots
(no need to explain the bills will be better but have a tough schedule and the jets are good{and tebow could work with a big d behind him}but not as good as brady and co.)

    AFC West Winner: Denver Broncos
(i dont care if it was a preseason game and i dont care if it was only one drive mannings compleating passes and even at 85-90% hes terrifying for any defense to play never mind defenses that have not been playing him twice a year for his whole career)

AFC Wildcards: Buffalo Bills, NY Jets
(both will have dominant defenses,i rate fitzpatrick higher than most and im not a huge fan of tebow or sanchez but there gona get points between them)

NFC North Winner: Green Bay Packers
(there just to good bears second and lions 3rd at least one of them will get a wildcard spot)

    NFC South Winner: Atlanta Falcons
(saints and bucs wont be far off but the falcons have to much talent)

    NFC East Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
(very much a biased pick i like our d this year and i think jackson will be back to his best biggest test for us is will our run game work without jason peters)
(giants second and skins challenge the boys for 3rd)

NFC West Winner: San Francisco 49ers
(very talented team that benefits from playing in one of the weakest divisions in football)

NFC Wildcards: Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints
(bears look very good this year and would have won most other divisions, saints are gona go one of 2 ways if the bountygate scandal galvanizes them they they make the playoffs if not they flunk giants should make this but i feel/hope they have a hangover from another sb)

AFC Championship Game: Broncos @ Pats
NFC Championship Game: Eagles @ Packers

    Super Bowl: Pats vs Packers
    Super Bowl Winner: Packers

    MVP: Aaron Rodgers
Offensive Player of the Year: Tom Brady
Defensive Player of the Year: ndamukong suh
Offensive Rookie of the Year: RG3
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Chandler Jones

    Surprise Team (Good): Cincinnati bengals

Surprise Team (Bad): New York Giants

    Breakout Player: Demaryius Thomas
(gone from a QB that cant throw to peyton freaking manning)

Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Maurice Jones-Drew (a hard one to pick because if you predict it there not necessarily underachieving but good call by jamarcus)

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Colts finish 2nd in nfc south / Tebow starts and wins another playoff game(due to his d):D

    Your own team: Phillidalphia Eagles

    Regular Season Record: 12-4

    Best Rookie: Mychal Kendrics

(cox and curry will rotate to much as our d-line is deep and boykins and brown will be backing up hansen and mccoy respectively)

Most looking forward to seeing:if our d gels/if ryans is a beast at mlb i miss the brian dawkins days of our d smashing people

Defensive Player of the Year: Justin Smith
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Robert Griffin III
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechly

Surprise Team (Good): Carolina Panthers, division winners baby!
Surprise Team (Bad): New York Giants, 8-8 and miss the playoffs
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Chris Johnson, won't go above 1k yards

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Return of the run game! Three running backs to top 1500 yards, not been done in several years

    Your own team: Baltimore Ravens
    Regular Season Record: 11-5
Best Rookie: Keluchi Osemele (feck it, I can't spell it, everyone calls him KO :P). Beast of a guard, 2nd round pick and may solve our long neglected LT position next season. Animal of a man!

Most looking forward to seeing: Chuck Pagano was a super aggressive defensive coordinatior and he will be missed in Baltimore. Want to see what Dean Pees will bring

    AFC North Winner: Baltimore Ravens
    AFC South Winner: Tennessee Titans
AFC East Winner: New England Patriots
AFC West Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
AFC Wildcards: Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos

NFC North Winner: Green Bay Packers
NFC South Winner: New Orleans Saints
NFC East Winner: New York Giants
    NFC West Winner: Seattle Seahawks
NFC Wildcards: Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys

AFC Championship Game: Broncos @ Ravens
NFC Championship Game: Bears @ Giants

    Super Bowl: Giants v Ravens
    Super Bowl Winner: Baltimore Ravens

    MVP: Aaron Rodgers
Offensive Player of the Year: CJ2K (1800 rush yards, 500 rec yards, 20 combined tds)
Defensive Player of the Year: JPP
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Trent Richardson
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechley

Surprise Team (Good): Titans, will win 10 games with Locker and CJ2K back to his best.
Surprise Team (Bad): Philadelphia Eagles. Don't think last season was a big a blip as everyone is making out. Will go 8-8 at best.
Breakout Player: Jake Locker. 3500 yards and 15td's to 7 ints.
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Mike vick. More injuries and turnovers as age catches up with him

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Seattle Seahawks to make the playoffs as Matt Flynn is benched in week 3 in favour of Russell Wilson.

Your own team: New York Giants
    Regular Season Record: 12-4
    Best Rookie: David Wilson
Most looking forward to seeing: JPP being truly dominant and leading the league with a record setting 23 sacks.

    AFC North Winner: Baltimore Ravens
    AFC South Winner: Houston Texans
AFC East Winner: New England Patriots
    AFC West Winner: Denver Broncos
AFC Wildcards: Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills

NFC North Winner: Green Bay Packers
NFC South Winner: New Orleans Saints
    NFC East Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
    NFC West Winner: Seattle Seahawks
NFC Wildcards: Chicago Bears, SF 49ers

AFC Championship Game: Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots
NFC Championship Game: Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl: New England Patriots v Philadelphia Eagles
Super Bowl Winner: New England Patriots

    MVP: Tom Brady
Offensive Player of the Year: Peyton Manning
Defensive Player of the Year: Vince Wilfork
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Andrew Luck
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Keuchly

Surprise Team (Good): Seattle Seahawks - for some reason I think Flynn is going to make a huge difference to a team. Lynch will continue to do well at RB and the side are always tough to visit. I have them around 9-7 or so which given the divisions tough fixtures, should get them the divisional win.

Surprise Team (Bad): Carolina Panthers/Pittsburgh Steelers - not quite sure if it's a surprise really with the Panthers, but I think Newton could have a slump. The lockout hurt defenses last year rather than offenses, so it's going to be tougher for Cam this time around. Big Ben has less options than ever before with Wallace still holding out and Mendenhall on PUP, think they're going to struggle to get the wins this year.

Breakout Player: Jake Locker - might not reach the playoffs but will do well if given the starting QB job which is likely. Notable mention to Randall Cobb who will have a big second season for us.

    Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: MJD

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Jags will beat Cleveland to being the worst team of the season.

Your own team: Green Bay Packers
    Regular Season Record: 12-4
    Best Rookie: Casey Hayward
Most looking forward to seeing: Our defense making life a bit easier for the team and applying some pressure on the opposition QB.

    AFC North Winner: Baltimore Ravens
    AFC South Winner: Houston Texans
AFC East Winner: New England Patriots
    AFC West Winner: Denver Broncos
AFC Wildcards: Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs

NFC North Winner: Green Bay Packers
NFC South Winner: New Orleans Saints
    NFC East Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
NFC West Winner: San Francisco 49ers
NFC Wildcards: Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons

AFC Championship Game: Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots (Heart says Manning wins, head says Patriots too good)
NFC Championship Game: Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers
Superbowl: New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers
Super Bowl Winner: Green Bay Packers
    MVP: Aaron Rodgers
Offensive Player of the Year: LeSean McCoy
Defensive Player of the Year: Tamba Hali
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Robert Griffin III
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechly

Surprise Team (Good): Most of my picks are conventional, but if there is to be a surprise team it's the Raiders. Palmer still has the arm and has the most athletic receiving corps in the league.
Surprise Team (Bad): The Giants, though I doubt people will really be surprised.
:Breakout Player: Carson Palmer, it's not really a breakout because he has been to pro bowls, but his game is about to be taken to a new level.
    Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Vincent Jackson
Audacious Prediction of the Season: Redskins to reach 8-8.

    Your own team: Baltimore Ravens
    Regular Season Record: 11-5
Best Rookie: Courtney Upshaw. 6 foot 2, 272 pounds. He's a brick wall. Would not want to run at him.
Most looking forward to seeing: Tommy Streeter and Jim Caldwell's work with Joe.

    Breakout Player: Brooks Reed
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Mike Wallace. Hold out and messy contract negotiations. Won't be as focused on football.

AFC North Winner: Cincinnati Bengals - This Division is going to be tight, but I do think Cincinnati are coming good at the right time
AFC South Winner: Houston Texans - They'll win it at a canter
AFC East Winner: New England Patriots - Their rivals are starting to weaken, Buffalo flatter to decieve and Jets arent as good as they'll have us believe.
AFC West Winner: Kansas City Chiefs - Much as I hate to say it, Crennel will have them ready to compete and Whilst Manning is Manning, his supporting Cast arent the Colts of 3-4 seasons ago.
AFC Wildcards: Buffalo Bills & San Diego Chargers

NFC North Winner: Green Bay Packers - The Pack are good enough to take this division again
NFC South Winner: Atlanta Falcons - A changed Offense will make this team more complete and The Saints woes will help
NFC East Winner: Philadelphia Eagles - Hard Division to call, as ever.
NFC West Winner: San Francisco 49ers - Cant see any other team in the West measuring up to San Fran, at least for this year.
NFC Wildcards: Detroit Lions & New Orleans Saints

AFC Championship Game: Houston Texans @ New England Patriots
NFC Championship Game: Philidelphia Eagles @ Green Bay

Super Bowl: New England Patriots V Green Bay
    Super Bowl Winner: New England

    MVP: Aaron Rodgers
Offensive Player of the Year: Darren McFadden (PROVIDED he stays healthy!!!)
Defensive Player of the Year: Brian Cushing
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Andrew Luck Colts
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechly Panthers

Surprise Team (Good): . The Chiefs.Everyone is talking about Denver but I think the Chiefs have a better overall squad.
Surprise Team (Bad): Giants. I think they'll struggle to make the playoffs this year.
    Breakout Player: Josh Freeman
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Maurice Jones Drew - Holdouts rarely do anything positive for a player.

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Cleveland to be competitive in the AFC North!

    Your own team: Oakland Raiders
    Regular Season Record: 7-9
Best Rookie: Miles Burris - He'll flourish in Aaron Curry's absence. And with our offense, he'll be on the field often enough!

Most looking forward to seeing: Raiders crush Broncos at Mile High!!

Surprise Team (Good): New Orleans Saints to have a very strong year after all the turmoil and distractions

Breakout Player: Chris Johnson to regain his form
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Rex Ryan, to be on the hot seat before the end of the season

Defensive Player of the Year: Brian Cushing
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Andrew Luck
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Eh.... Claiborne. Why not?

Surprise Team (Good): Colts to finish with .500
Surprise Team (Bad): Jets will suck really bad this year, i mean really suck way worse than anybody could have predicted...super sucky year for the Jets, who suck in general anyway (copy n paste*)
    Breakout Player: Jay Cutler
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: It's gonna be Tebow - like the guy, but he's been messed around and will see limited opportunity in a bad offense
Audacious Prediction of the Season: Colts to ruin Houston's run at perfection in Lucas oil on Week 17

    Your own team: Indianapolis Colts

    AFC North Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers

AFC East Winner: New England Patriots
AFC West Winner: San Diego Chargers
AFC Wildcards: Houston Texans, Cincinnati Bengals

NFC North Winner: Green Bay Packers

Super Bowl Winner: New England Patriots

    MVP: Tom Brady
Offensive Player of the Year: Aaron Rodgers
Defensive Player of the Year: Patrick Willis
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Andrew Luck
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechly

Surprise Team (Good): Indianapolis Colts. Luck leads them to victory in the AFC South.
Surprise Team (Bad): Baltimore Ravens. They suffer some injuries on D and their offense fails to perform.
Breakout Player: Blaine Gabbert to turn his career around after a terrible rookie campaign.
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Trent Richardson to have a Gabbertesque rookie season.

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Denver Broncos to struggle with one of the worst records in football as Peyton Manning struggles bigtime to get back in the game. The reason I predict this is that Manning seemed to be on the slide in 2010 before his neck injury.

Your own team: New England Patriots
    Regular Season Record: 14-2
    Best Rookie: Chandler Jones
Most looking forward to seeing: Jermaine Cunningham have a breakout year. I've always believed that this guy is a Belichick type of guy. He has very little to say and he works hard, like a lot of second year men last season he was very unlucky with the lockout which really hampered his preparation.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechly

Surprise Team (Good): Dallas Cowboys. Romo and co pull it together at the right times, make the playoffs!
Surprise Team (Bad): Pittsburgh Steelers. Ageing roster and injuries results in a lacklustre season being beaten by Bengals and Ravens in the AFC North!
Breakout Player: Eric Decker becomes Peyton's favourite target, runs his routes like Welker, picking up serious yardage.
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Santonio Holmes helps bring Tebow in, and immediately regrets that decision.

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Oakland Raiders to fall into the 'Black Hole' and finish 0-16

Your own team: New York Giants
    Regular Season Record: 9-7

Super Bowl: Houston Texans v Green Bay Packers
Super Bowl Winner: Green Bay Packers

    MVP: Aaron Rodgers
Offensive Player of the Year: Matt Stafford
Defensive Player of the Year: Von Miller (yeah, you heard me)
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Andrew Luck
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechly

Surprise Team (Good): Titans. Oversold on trying to get Manning but could afford to do so. Good to great in basically every area of the pitch and Locker will step up this year. Weren't a bad side last year either.
Surprise Team (Bad): Kansas City Chiefs. Look, they're talented and all but i'm still not sold on Crennel as a coach and definitely not on Cassel. They're heavily reliant on the run game and having all those pretty targets in the aerial game isnt worth much with a subpar QB.
Breakout Player: Eric Decker. Manning loves him in practice and he'll be our #1 target. Mannings's No.1 target is naturally going to do quite well stats wise. Von Miller will take the next step as stated above but hardly a breakout when he's a probowler already.
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Had this reserved for Ocho before he went all zinedine zidane on his wife. Going with Trent Richardson as he had the misfortune of being drafted by the browns.

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Von Miller will be Defensive Player of the Year, barring injury. Will at the very least contend for the award. On a related note, the Broncos defence will be top 5. Broncos aside, the Bears will miss the playoffs in heartbreaking fashion as they fall to Detroit in a decider at Ford Field in week 17 which goes to the wire.

    Your own team: Denver Broncos
    Regular Season Record: 10-6
Best Rookie: Derek Wolfe. Tearing it up in camp. Hillman could be brilliant but is struggling with injuries and wont impact early on in all likelihood.
Most looking forward to seeing: Quite a bit. Del Rio's impact on the defence, a decent defensive line with the addition of Wolfe and return of Warren. Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil terrifying QBs...oh and Peyton Manning. More exciting times await in Broncoland :D

Surprise Team (Good): Kansas City Chiefs to have a great year and go to the playoffs.
Surprise Team (Bad): NY Giants luck runs out, fail to make the playoffs and battle it out with the redskins for the 3rd spot in the NFC East.

Breakout Player: Doug Martin, think he's set for a big year in Tampa.
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Matt Flynn, likely to lose the starting job fairly early.

Audacious Prediction of the Season: No Playoffs for the Lions, Eagles, Giants, Chargers or Steelers.

Surprise Team (Good):Titans -- If CJ plays like his old self I think they could be playoff contenders easily.
Surprise Team (Bad): Eagles -- Not going to win much when your QB is constantly getting injured.

Breakout Player: Julio Jones - Become one of the elite WRs in the game

I thought for a while the Raiders could go 0-16, but recently I've realised that's a ridiculous thought. There is absolutely no way they will be the worst in the league with a motivated Carson Palmer at the helm. People forget he has one of the best arms in the league. It is astounding what he did last year on such short notice. Unless he gets injured they are good to go.

    NFC South Winner: Saints
NFC East Winner: Eagles (if, and it's a big if, Vick can stay healthy)

Offensive Rookie of the Year: Andrew Luck
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechly

Surprise Team (Good): Saints - All that drama and they won't miss a beat.
Surprise Team (Bad): Jets - Not sure if this will count as a surprise but with a little luck I can see the Dolphins taking 3rd in the division and the Jets ending up dead last.

Breakout Player: Eric Decker - A good QB will make all the difference
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: MJD - I think a body can take only so much

Palmer's past it, he wasnt even good last year, never mind doing an astounding job. 13 TDs to 16 picks and a QBR of 80... average at best. Defence is piss poor too and Allen has no head coaching experience... i mean, his defence last year with us was only about 20th overall, any time we ran into elite QBs we got blown up. Even then, i think Fox had as much to do with any defensive improvement than Allen did. Can't see the Raiders being good next year, and thats not bias, i'd give them credit if i thought it was due. Fact of the matter is that Kansas and Denver are better all around sides and i'd give SD the edge because of Philip Rivers. About 6-10 imo, McFadden being largely responsible for the 6.

3 of those interceptions were in a game he shouldn't have been in. Another 3 were the next week when still getting to grips. 8.39 yards per attempt, that's going to lead to a ton of points next year.

Exactly! He's not the saviour of the Franchise and they paid wayyyyyy over the odds for him but he is better than anything they've had in the last 5 or 6 years (save for Jason Campbell maybe)

They wont win the AFC West but to be honest I'll be happy with just seeing that the organisation is becoming more professional and pointed in the right direction. I'm not looking for instant success, merely the signs that the organisation is going in the right direction.

Basing Palmer ability on last year is extremely stupid tbh. Came in half way through a season having not played any ball for nearly a year, anyone expecting him the ground running must knows very little about football. You don't just come onto a football team, learn the play book, learn opposition defenes and then develop chemistry with your WR's in two weeks.

Good point about coming in cold and he is better than anyone OAK have had there since Gannon but regardless he's not at the level anymore where he'll elevate a poor team.. lot of holes regardless, especially on defence and Allen is a total unknown as a head coach. Oakland struggled against the pass last year and will do so again most likely, Allen was no good at stopping the pass as our DC either. Bad enough to be struggling against the pass when Rivers and Manning are up twice each on the schedule alongside Brees and Ben

Raiders making the right moves long term but the bar has been raised in the AFC West of late.

Yeah the Pass Defense will likely be shredded this year. Just hope the D Line gets some serious pressure on the opposing QB, otherwise its gonna be a long season. :(

There are very few holes on defense. Lack of a pass rush is about it. The reason we struggled against the pass is mainly because of our scheme. Having an modern day NFL defensive scheme will make a huge difference. Also despite our terrible pass defense last year we still managed to topple Rivers once, strange that.

    MVP: Tom Brady
Offensive Player of the Year: Matt Stafford
Defensive Player of the Year: Patrick Willis
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Luck
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuelchy

Surprise Team (Good): Bengals - To beat the Ravens to a wild card spot and then get all the way to the AFC championship!
Surprise Team (Bad): Jets - I have a feeling this could very wrong for them this year

Breakout Player: AJ Green - He'll be the best WR in the NFL this year
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Michael Vick - not that I think he's bad, but he won't play enough games to get the eagles to the playoffs

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Big Ben and Todd Haley to have a fully blown fist fight on the sidelines during a playoff game

    Your own team: Colts
    Regular Season Record: 6-10
    Best Rookie: Mr Andrew Luck
Most looking forward to seeing: Apart from Luck throwing the ball around how the new look defence goes.

Would be surprised to see a Qb miss the playoffs and get Offensive player of the year. It's possible, of course, if he puts up huuuuge numbers and the defense is like a swing door. But unlikely.

Lol, could happen. Meanwhile we sneak off with Arians. Still can't believe our Luck on that one. Not sure about our GM, but the coaches are a definite upgrade.

And I also predicted aj green to better than megatron too....with Stafford as offensive MVP! To be fair I changed me mind on the offensive MVP several times!
Although the NFC north could be unbelievably competitive this year and it's conceivable enough that one of Stafford, Rodgers or Cutler could put up huge numbers and miss the playoffs!
