Bit of a long shot but here goes, I have a 5ft oly bar at the moment but i'm looking at buying a power cage so I was wondering it be possible to extend the 5ft bar I have( as the sleeves are held on with bolts at either end) or would i have to buy a complete new bar?

I am going to advise buying a new Oly bar.

Oly bars are rated for a certain amount of weight. Even if you could add on longer sleeves, you might put more weight on the bar then it is designed to safely carry, which could lead to the bar failing (breaking).
