Best time of the year to leave a job in Ireland to claim tax

    Im planning to leave my job here in ireland to go to australia next year,Ima wondering is there a best time to leave for tax claiming purposes

    Mod Moving to economics ... there might be a formula there, to calculate maximum returns
    But in Australia the tax year is from July 1st - June 30th.

    Between April and September, would be the best time. You will get tax back from Ireland, and you will pay less in Oz.
