HTC one X or Galaxy S3?

What gets your vote?

Getting one of those next week and I don't know what to go for,had the One X from April until my daughter dropped it down the toilet last month and truely loved it(there were tears shed)

So I don't know whether to get another HTC or am I missing out on anything with the s3?

All depends on which you prefer, HTC or SAMSUNG, and more importantly Sense vs Touch wiz.....

Best thing to do would be to go into any car phone warehouse and have a play with both of them and see which one you prefer.

Also i hope the one x was insured or something, otherwise you must be forking out nearly a grand between the two phones, wow.

I've used both. Samsung has the better specs but htc phone is better built wise and it has a more quality feel to it. My cents worth.

Would def agree with this, especially on build quality.

I have both. The S3 isn't as solid as the One X but with a case on you wouldn't notice. The screen on the one X seems sharper to my eyes too but I would still pick the S3 over it. The battery is far superior and can be swapped out and the expandable memory means you can load up what you want on the go. I also think the S3 feels snappier to use.

Can I make 2 suggestions before you rush out. These things are too expensive to just rush out and buy another.

1. Most house insurance policies will cover damage like this. People claim for camera's, laptops etc all the time. Look into the policy.
2. If you sign up with Chill.ie it will cost €37.80 for the year if you pay up front. You will be covered straight away and then in a week of two you could claim for the phone. The excess is €35.

There is so little between the HOX and SGS3 that you'd be happy with either.

Sorry I only got back onto the thread, yea my house insurance are covering it - I'm waiting on a check, should have it this week. I'm with allianz and it was only €32 to put my One X and the other fellas S2 on under specified items for the year. Only thing is its taking ages!

My friend works in carphone warehouse so I was in with her Saturday looking at them, she's trying to sway me towards the S3, but I've used the other fellas S2 and I wasn't mad about it, think ill stick to HTC!

I'm using my desire HD at the minute, have this over 2 years and still works fine - once fell into a swimming pool and still worked ! !

It depends on what you want in your phone.

Some of the main features that swayed me in the direction of the galaxy s3 included the radio which you can record from, the storage you can add in the form of the micro sd card and the replacable battery features the HTC one x don't have

Hi, Interested in which one you went for and what do you think?
Likewise, I have a HTC Desire HD and have been offered an upgrade to either the HTC One X ot the Samsung S3.

Do you find much difference from using the HD to using the new one (whichever model)?

Whatever you choose you will be happy with both I wouldnt worry too much about it

I got the SG3 yesterday and think its superb so far

I'd go with the galaxy s3. I've just given the HTC one x to herself. Was able to get it working again using Leedroid rom after almost bricking it and while it is a superb device the Samsung matches it and has the advantage of a more useful battery life.

On top of that it has memory and batteries that can be swapped out. I still hate touchwizz but it works well.
