    Hi lads, anyone know the ins and outs of getting a permit for bringing your gun up north

    You can get a visitor permit application through any PSNI station or the PSNI website; here's a link http://www.psni.police.uk/index/advice-and-legislation/firearms/advice_firearms_forms.htm.

    You'll need your NI sponsor to apply on your behalf. Euro pass details are required.

    If you need more info you can ring any PSNI station and ask for the firearms officer. I personally have very positive experiences with the two gentleman in Fermanagh ( based in Enniskillen ) and the lady in South Tyrone ( based in Dungannon ).

    i went to get it a few months back and they rejected it because i wasent 18, if you have a licence you should be able to apply for one up north, no questions asked also i never got back my £12 for the fee
